The November 14^th Guitar Hero Contest sponsored by SCC’s Keokuk Business Club was a huge success! Fourteen contestants in the under 14 age group and eight contestants in the 15 and above group competed. Food was served and drawings were held through the evening. Winners in the under fourteen category were Logan Allen, first place; Christian Harshbarger, second place; and Billy Gilbert, third place. Winners in the 15 and above group were Jared Weimann, first place; Tony Gibbs, second place; and Davis Shoup, third place. First place winners received an acoustic guitar and four lessons; second place received a two hour DJ /karaoke party certificate; and third place winner the 15 and above group won a dinner at Beef Bread and Brew. In the under 14 category, the prize was video/movie rentals from Blockbuster. Michelle Yoder Sage won $40 in the 50/50 drawing. The money raised from this event will help the KBC sponsor two families at Christmas. The KBC would like to thank our ace maintenence men, Jay and Brian, for all their help in getting ready for the contest and helping get the Lounge back to normal afterwards.
