What could it be? Trammell Wins Trivia

Congratulations to Brenda Tammell. She solved the Science Trivia question: How much stronger is the carboxyhemoglobin bond than the oxyhemoglobin bond? The answer is 210 times stronger. The carboxyhemoglobin bond is the bond between carbon monoxide and the hemoglobin. So when red blood cells pass through our lungs, their ability to bond with oxygen is severely impaired by the presence of even small amounts of carbon monoxide.

Our ponds and small streams may be getting iced over soon if this weather keeps up. It is a good thing for the fish so that they can still swim. What is the Celsius temperature at which water is most dense? Hint: It is not zero, because ice floats!
