Going...Going...
Hy-Vee has informed SCC that it is no longer able to continue food service at the Keokuk Campus after this fall semester. There is insufficient traffic from students and staff for the operation to be viable. This means no more walking tacos, no more chicken strips, or hamburgers. However, if there is a particular reason why you do not like the food being prepared, please inform Dr. Ahern, our Dean, or our Vice President of Student Services, Joan Williams. Please give them any suggestions you might have that will improve the service and any foods you would like to see on the menu. This is a convenience the school would like to keep, and it would help to make it the best it can for the students.
Also, the Little Angels Daycare will not provide child care service at the Keokuk Campus after this fall semester due to low enrollment. They were not able to operate it with a profit. As you may recall, this is a service we provide to our students and staff, but that facility is also used by community members in order to have enough children for the operation to be viable.
SCC is working on the possibility of other providers willing to operate the Food Service and a campus daycare.
