Narration Essay (Personal Narrative: Self as Story) |
||
|
Write a 1-2 page Personal Narrative about any single event or experience in your life. The bulk of the story must take place in as short of a time as possible (preferably a single day). The story should consist of an initial premise (the base event) and a counter-event that interrupts the balance of the premise. Be sure to use specific detail--including people involved (if any), time (when the event took place), and place (setting). Work to entertain--make the reader want to keep reading (a series of events in itself is boring)
Remember that the best writing is honest writing. Get your ideas out first! Worry about editing later.
Things to Consider:
Requirements:
"There ain't no sin and there ain't no virtue. There's just stuff people do. It's all part of the same thing. And some of the things folks do is nice, and some ain't so nice, but that's as far as any man got a right to say." -John Steinbeck (Grapes of Wrath) |
